Hi, I’m Amanda Hilburn!

I'm the founder of Mah Birdie BAM and a Certified Oh My Mahjong Mentor based in Clayton, North Carolina.

I discovered American Mahjong in 2024 and quickly fell in love with the game—not just for its strategy, but for the way it brings people together. What started as a new hobby soon became a passion for teaching and creating a welcoming community where players can learn, connect, and have fun.

Whether you're learning Mahjong for the first time, building confidence through guided play, or joining one of my themed Open Play events, my goal is to help every player feel comfortable and excited to be at the table.

When I'm not teaching, you'll find me spending time with my family and supporting local Johnston County businesses.
