Mahjong 101: Beginner Basics

Join Mah Birdie Bam at No Filter Cafe for a fun and welcoming beginner class designed for players with little to no experience. This three-hour, hands-on class will take you from learning the tiles to putting it all together and playing the game!

During class, you’ll learn:

• American Mahjong tiles

• The Charleston

• How to read the 2026 National Mah Jongg League card

• How to play the game

No experience is necessary, and all Mahjong supplies are provided.

Players are encouraged to arrive a little early to grab something to eat or drink from No Filter Cafe before we get started. You are also welcome to order food and drinks during class.
